Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern use of this privately operated Suffolk County Busted Mugshots reference service. By accessing the service, you accept these terms.

This is a private site, not a government office or a consumer reporting agency. Neither this service nor its advertising or search partners provides credit, employment, insurance, tenant-screening, or other FCRA-covered services.

Private Reference Service

The service is not affiliated with a sheriff, jail, police department, court, corrections agency, or other government body. It hosts no official public record and cannot verify custody, release a person, obtain a record, or act as a private investigation firm.

Acceptable Use

Use the service lawfully and with respect for others. Do not stalk, harass, threaten, impersonate, submit unlawful material, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, bypass security, scrape content, or use automated means that burden the service. Do not use information in violation of another person's rights or applicable law.

FCRA-Prohibited Uses

The service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide consumer reports or screening services. You agree not to use any content or linked result for decisions about employment, hiring, firing, housing, tenant screening, credit, insurance, licensing, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Links and Tools

The service may link to Sheriff, corrections, police, court, state, federal, news, and partner resources. Those destinations are operated independently. A link is not an endorsement, and the operator does not control their content, privacy practices, pricing, availability, or results. Review the terms and notices of each destination before using it.

No Warranties

The service is offered as is and as available. No promise is made that information is accurate, complete, current, secure, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Custody status and public records can change quickly. Only the originating office can provide an official confirmation.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator and its providers are not liable for damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service, a linked site, or a third-party result.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator and its providers from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or another person's rights.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the service's text, design, graphics, logo, and code are owned by the operator or its content partners and are protected by applicable law. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or used beyond permitted personal use without written permission.

Term Changes and Access

The operator may revise these terms, change the service, or suspend or end access at any time, with or without notice. Revised terms take effect when posted. Continued use after posting means acceptance of the revised terms.

New York Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in New York, unless applicable law requires another venue.

Severability

If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, that part will be adjusted only as needed, and the remaining terms will continue in effect.
